Simple religion

Contrary to many religions, there is no absolute need for a prophet, guru, or any spiritual teacher whatsoever. These illuminated beings are sought out when a person is in some kind of suffering or inadequacy. They are then re-established in the Truth that was already within them. They may learn many new fanciful stories and techniques but the Truth within is only brought to the surface. This Truth is beyond words but a simple description could be- goodness over wrong-doing and eternal security within a compassionate God. The simplicity of spiritual growth becomes complicated through traditions and philosophies but I'd like to add a story.
God awakens from sleep. God had been sleeping since the end of the last creation and is ready to again take action. God begins to sing and dance and from the sound waves energy takes many forms, matter takes many forms. The cosmos form and the many worlds. Bodies and minds are formed from this insentient energy and matter. God looks into the many minds with the light of consciousness and the minds reflect this light, like a mirror. This light of consciousness shines through the many mind-forms taking in many unique perceptions of reality. This light of consciousness is our sense of being, the pure "I" thought. The one that sees our minds' thoughts is this light of consciousness emitted from God's gaze and it is one spirit reflected through many minds. This is creation, the field of experience and change. The field is eternal though always changing, the spirit within it is eternal and never changes. With this be happy and good in the world. Do not identify with the impermanent creation that is your body and mind, identify with the spirit that is the spirit of all and is eternal, conscious, and blissful. This is the background of reality, creation is a pleasant disturbance within the eternal, conscious, blissful spirit of existence.
God is existence, the source intelligence, the blanket of reality. Our prayer is pure gratitude, let us make our life a prayer. Clarity is our meditation, let us make life a meditation. Acceptance is our religion, not tolerance, complete acceptance. Include the world and God as yourself. The drop is the ocean but the ocean can never be a drop. Blessings.
